Encounters With The Obscure's next screening will be on the 9th August commencing at 9pm 

in the enchanting lairs of the Lumiere. 

Proceeding with our tour through Europe we have now arrived in France and want to introduce two films by 

Jean Vigo.

Joining in with the olympic spirit the first film will be Taris (1931), a short 10 minute documentary about the French swimmer Jean Taris. 

Secondly we will be showing one of his feature lengths L'Atalante (1934) a love story and considered by critics to be one of cinema's greatest works.
