Monday 30 July 2012

The next screening will be on Thursday 2nd August commencing at 9pm, as usual at the lovely Lumiere.

Last week's film Ghost Dance proved to be a success and we will be continuing our European Cinema tour with another British film gem, Michael Powell's Black Narcissus (1947).

Sister Clodagh and her four 'co-nuns' take over a convent in the Himalayan mountains. During their time there tension arises, especially with the arrival of the hunky Mr. Dean. Michael Powell's quietly humorous approach to the novel of the same name is fantastic.

Encounters With The Obscure is looking forward to seeing all of you there.

No admission fee and free popcorn.
