Wednesday 15 August 2012

This week's screening will be on Sunday 19th August starting at 9pm at the lovely Lumiere.

The male dominated French Cinema (and cinema generally) often fails to acknowledge the beautiful and intuitive works of female directors. Such as the films by Marguerite Duras, one of which will be screened this Sunday.

Encounters With The Obscure will introduce the 1972 film 'Nathalie Granger', with a very young Gerard Depardieu and two female protagonists who give an inside into their uneventful and simple world. Radically poetic.

We look forward to having you there. Free admission and popcorn because cinema is love!

Address:
Lumiere
